Children on board

All children need a valid passport to travel with Niceair.

Children travelling alone

Children between the ages of 5 and 11 years (11 inclusive) who are not accompanied by a person older than 15 years who can be responsible for them, are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors on Niceair flights.

Unaccompanied Minors can travel with certain help from their parents and Niceair. To request such help you will need to complete a request form here before purchasing a flight ticket. Niceair will be in touch promptly to complete the booking with you. Niceair asks passengers to request such help within the shortest two days before departure.

If needed, Unaccompanied Minor service can be booked for passengers between 12 and 14 years of age (14 inclusive). Same rules and fees apply as for passenger with mandatory Unaccompanied Minor service.

Niceair can accompany a maximum of four Unaccompanied Minors on each flight, to ensure that we can provide each Minor with good care.

When making the request you will need to provide information of all the guardians involved in accompanying the minor to the gate and picking them up from the airport. Make sure to keep this information available when you complete the request form.

Three copies of this document need to be filled, printed and brougt along to the airport.

Unaccompanied Minor journey

An adult guardian accompanies the child to the airport, helps it through the check-in and security process and all the way to the gate. Niceair service providers will assist with information. At the gate, the child and parent will meet with the crew and the crew will help the child to board the flight. It is vital that all the necessary contact information is available for the guardian who will pick up the child at the destination.

The guardian needs to stay in the terminal until the aircraft is airborne.

During the flight, all unaccompanied minors sit together at the back of the aircraft, where a Niceair crew member will attend to them.

After landing, a guardian shall be ready at the arrivals hall. Before the Unaccompanied Minor is handed over to the guardian Niceair service provider will ask for a photo ID along with necessary contact information.

Babies on board

Babies under the age of two years (24 months) are according to the terms of Niceair infants.

Niceair has onboard special seatbelts for infants which crew members will assist the passengers in using.

For infants, it is necessary to buy a flight ticket. An infant has to sit on the lap of the parent for takeoff and landing but it is also possible to buy a seat for the infant additionally. For safety reasons passengers travelling with an infant can not sit in a row by an emergency exit.

Further information about travelling with an infant can be found here.

Pregnant women

To ensure a safe flight, women in the last month of pregnancy are unfortunately not accepted to fly with Niceair.

Carseats for Infants

Carseats that comply with European standards for air travel are permitted for use on Niceair flights, provided an extra seat has been booked for them in advance. It is necessary to ensure that the car seat is designed to be used with a two-point seat belt.
