Passengers with visual- and/or hearing impairment

Before flight

We recommend passengers check the websites of each airport where information on their procedures are found.

During flight

Crew members can assist passengers with:

  • Boarding and de-boarding;
  • Moving around the cabin;
  • Getting to and from the restroom;
  • Stowing hand luggage; and
  • Opening food packaging

For safety reasons, Niceair can neither grant visually- nor hearing impaired passengers seating at emergency exits.

We will do our best to assist you with your special request.

Visually impaired passengers - safety items

Passengers with visual impairment do not need to request specifically to be introduced to the safety items on board. Crew members will demonstrate these items both visually and verbally.

Hearing impaired passengers - safety items

Passengers with hearing impairment do not need to request specifically to be introduced to the safety items on board. Crew members will demonstrate these items both visually and verbally. In addition, there will be a safety card in the seat pocket in front of each passenger, where these items are shown.

After landing

Upon reaching the destination, staff at each airport will provide requested assistance for passengers to travel through the terminal building. In Akureyri Airport this service is provided by Isavia.
